Growing up sorrounded by art and artists it was inescapable that at some point in my life the need to create art would become important,  I  pursued a career in the sciences and managed an organic diversified farm for the last 23 years.  Drawing, painting, and creating art never left my side.
Inspired by nature
My approach
I love to create art in a very loose style. Impressionist art is a very important influence on my paintings. I like watercolor that is expressive and not overworked with detail.
I love pottery that is unique and conveys the hand of the artist. I mostly mix my own glazes and see the pottery as a canvas for layering different colors and textures. My pottery is functional dinnerware and items meant to be used and enjoyed daily.
